The Blue Team focuses on defensive operations within cyber security. Our team works on securing Linux and Windows machines, monitoring network traffic for signs of malicious activity, and a whole lot more. If you are interested in scripting, network forensics, and system administration these competitions provide an arena to thrive in. They also provide opportunities for soft skills like presentation, writing, and public speaking. The best part is that there is no prior knowledge required!

The Red Team is one of the organization's offerings which holds meetings weekly and participates in offensive security competitions that mimic real-life penetration testing scenarios. A penetration test is an authorized simulated cyberattack on a computer system, performed to evaluate the security of the system. This is a large industry within cybersecurity and our members prepare to join this workforce by learning ethical hacking techniques and applying those techniques in penetration testing competitions.
